Nobody Is Too Busy, It's Just a Matter of Priorities

In our society we hear that a lot : " I'm too busy to work out; I'm too busy to take care of myself; I'm too busy to eat healthy; I'm too busy to spend time with my family, hang out with my friends or my lover; I'm too busy to ______ ( fill in the blank). And so it goes. Sounds familiar, right? Everybody has their, fill in the blank, busy excuses.  Let me shock you though and I'm gonna be frank here, being busy is an illusion we use to drop off the responsibility from our shoulders, to excuse ourselves from stoping for a moment to look inside and ask, what is it that really matters to me? It's you doing "important " stuff, or so you think at least, without questioning what  really is important for you. Let's look thorough some of the most heard examples of the famous gangsta aka Busy.

The number one place Busy makes sure not to step his foot into is gym, or any kind of exercise per say.   For the sake of this article I'm making being busy as a character, so you can slowly start feeling how ridiculous this excuse is. So Busy creeps into your mind and you say: " I'm too busy to workout."  Busy is supper happy, but are you? Exercise is something our body craves, we were born to move. And funny to say exercising actually gives you energy, you feel more alive, more productive, and you can achieve better results at work and other areas of your life. It's up to you what type of exercise you chose, be it weight lifting (me, me, me) , yoga, running, swimming, jeez there is so much to choose from that you can never get bored of it. Just move!

Many of us think that being busy is productive, like working thousand hours a day, ok maybe not thousand, but you got the point, getting no sleep, then next morning again quickly to work, and it turns into some crazy bitch cycle that we can't even tell the difference between night and day, and it's just all kind of fucked up. Though that is not what makes a productive day, if you even don't have time to reflect on what is it that you are doing and why.

Second place Busy likes keeping us away from is...Ourselves. You hear that? Busy doesn't love us. And all these years we welcomed him. And so you say: " I am too busy to take care of myself; I'm too busy to take some time for myself ", and Busy is smiling like nobodies business. Let me tell you my friend, taking care of yourself should be your number one priority, and i don't like to use work should, but here i will do just that. You really have to think of yourself first, if you want to have a happy and successful life. Invest in yourself and you will have more to give others.  Because where ever you go, you take yourself with you, always. Have you noticed that? You are the one person you will spend 24/7 together, so start caring for your well being. If your work takes so much of your day, think trough again if you can make some small changes to maybe cut back some hours. Even just letting yourself have a normal sit down lunch, and breathe, relax, is already showing yourself that you care to have some me, me, me time. On your day off let yourself do things you really like and enjoy, to show yourself that that money earned is well spent, and that will make your work hours more pleasurable. Little acts of kindness go a long way

Third major place Busy likes to put no trespassing tape, like something bad is happening there, is your dear friends and family. Too busy to call your mom you haven't talked in a while, too busy to catch up with your friends? You say: "after all they wont disappear anywhere." Ou, yeah? Keep on wishing. If you don't invest in the relationship, it kind of dies out. Not the nicest example, but a big eye opener is, how often have you heard people who had close to them friends and family pass away, say : " I wish I have spent more time with them." That seriously is usually the only wish aka regret they have.

So lets hang out with those close to us, like right now, because life is about connection, creating great memories, laughing out loud till your stomach hurts, and just talking about nothing. Lets take care of our bodies, and make some time to move, to feel better, healthier,  have more energy, and have a smoking, hot ass ( that's more for girls, but i guess guys can have that too, i just never actually complimented a guy's ass). Lets invest in ourselves, take some time off to reflect whats important, what are your dreams and desires, to see if you are moving in direction of them. After all it is all connected. Take care of your mind, and your body will follow, and then your soul will shine though. Lets kindly kick Busy in his fat, lazy ass, so far, that he forgets where we live. And  lets once in a while stop and ask ourselves: " what are my priorities? " because it's up to you how your life unfolds. Live it consciously and be happy, busyless.

Thank You
